Manage Uncertainty
Use a probabilistic mindset, knowing that the chance of materializing your intent increases over time, as you and your company accumulate more expertise.
Weigh Your Options
Strategically judge the potential of an individual ofmos. By opting to maximize its return in isolation, you could be missing larger contributions at the portfolio level.
Corporate Stages
Expansion
Launch (create by introducing new products in existing markets or by entering new markets with existing products, or both) and start operating all of your 18 ofmos.
1st Restructuring
Divest three “triangle” businesses and acquire the capabilities for two higher-potential “squares.” Make the conversion in one turn, and launch the new ofmos later.
2nd Restructuring
Divest two “square” businesses and acquire the capabilities for one higher-potential “pentagon.” Make the conversion in one turn, and launch the new ofmos later.
Finale
Strategically exit all of your active businesses and end the game with the highest return at the table to win.
